Five Things That Take 18 Months

Sponsors of the proposed sidewalk moratorium said at last night's City Council meeting that they may shorten the proposed eighteen month moratorium for "infill" developments to allow time for the finalization of a master plan and a new ordinance that allocates costs better. But I could not stop assembling a list of things that take that long:

1.        Building three medium size houses.

2.        Giving birth to two humans.

3.        Earning half the credits required to graduate from college.

4.        Lewis & Clark reaching the Pacific Ocean.

          and . . . . I guess . . . . 

5.  Figuring out a way to improve the sidewalk ordinance.
